Under 8 and U12 Girls, Assistant Manager, completes her FAW Advanced Referee Qualification! (June 2019) — 12/06/19

On Sunday 9th June 2019, Lauren spent the day at the FAW Development Centre at Dragon Park, in her personal time, to complete her FAW Advanced Referee Qualification, excelling in her assessment. Prior to the assessment day/course, Lauren had spent time completing her online exam, achieving an outstanding pass rate.

Lauren becomes one of only 30 females in Wales, of who are qualified referees, becoming the clubs first ever qualified female referee, as well as the clubs only qualified female ref. These are not only great steps for Lauren for her own knowledge and understanding, these are important steps for her own CPD through the FAW Coach Education Pathway, female game and for the club.

Lauren will now be able to referee games throughout the club for our U12 Girls (Competitive); U12s Mixed (Competitive); U14 Girls (Competitive); U16 Boys (Competitive) and Senior teams (Competitive), refereeing games of girls/boys only, mixed and senior levels, with games in the Gwent League; South Wales Women & Girls League and Welsh Seniors Domestic League in South Wales, gaining credible experience along the way.

Lauren has featured for the FAW and BBC Sport in a clip and article published in the last few days.

The clip can be found on the BBC Sport Website
